Seeing a doctor takes more than it should
A short question turns into a half day. You take time off, sit in a waiting room, and hope the appointment is not weeks away. In a new city you do not know who to trust. And if English is not your first language, explaining how you feel gets harder than the illness itself.
A consultation that fits in your day
DollarCare connects you with licence-verified doctors over video. Pick someone who speaks your language, choose a time that works, and join from wherever you are. No travel, no waiting room, no half day gone.
What you get
Licence-verified doctors
Every doctor passes identity and licence checks before they can take a booking.
Doctors who speak your language
Filter by the languages a doctor speaks, so nothing is lost explaining your symptoms.
Encrypted health records
Your details are encrypted before they are stored, not just in transit.
Works in your browser
Join from a laptop or phone browser. The app is there if you prefer it.

Video consult or in-person visit?
Video works well for some things and not for others. Here is the honest version.
| Comparison | Video consult | In-person visit |
|---|---|---|
| Waiting time | Same-day slots are common | Often days or weeks |
| Travel | None | You go to the clinic |
| Choosing a doctor who speaks your language | Filter and pick | Whoever is nearby |
| Physical examination, lab tests, procedures | Not possible | This is what a clinic is for |
| Emergencies | Not suitable | Go to an emergency room |
Common questions
- Do I need to download an app?
- No. A DollarCare video consult runs in your web browser on a laptop or phone. Mobile apps are available if you prefer them, but they are optional.
- How much does a video consult cost?
- Each doctor sets their own consultation fee. The exact amount is shown on the doctor's profile and again at checkout, before any payment is taken.
- What if I need a prescription?
- If your doctor decides a prescription is appropriate, they issue it after the call and it appears in your DollarCare account. Not every consultation results in a prescription.
- Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
- Yes. You can cancel or move a booking from the My Appointments screen in your DollarCare account. Refund terms are set out in our cancellation policy.
- Is my information private?
- Your health details are encrypted before they are stored, and messages between you and your doctor are end-to-end encrypted. Only you and your doctor can read them.
- Is a video consult suitable for emergencies?
- No. A video consult is not for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
This is not an emergency service
If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Do not wait for a video appointment.
